Our 2024 AGM took place last month in Nottingham at the Park Plaza Hotel. After the AGM an excellent social program had been arranged by Victoria.
Tim, our Chair opened the AGM with a report covering the year’s activities to date which were extensive and successful and included a number of factory visits, webinars and of course our Pack to The Future conference, a flagship event held this year at Loughborough University.
This event has been our most popular conference to date with 85 attendees and received plenty of positive feedback. Importantly, as a Society we did not lose money on the event and made a small contribution to our Society’s reserves.
“Our committee is strong because of the overall continued energy and support, and I hope this long continues. I look forward to 2025 which will no doubt be challenging, exciting and unlikely to be dull!” Tim said as he summed up the achievements of the year.
After closing the AGM, the committee and their friends and partners went across the city centre for a meal at Gusto Italian, for pasta and cocktails. Following a very pleasant meal and conversation, the night closed with a visit to Roxy’s where everyone enjoyed a game of ten pin bowling before leaving for home after celebrating the successes of the past year.
