Bio :
Emily has enjoyed a career in packaging for almost 10 years with SC Johnson Professional (formerly Deb – home of the Swarfega brand) where she gained the IOM3 Level 5 Diploma in Packaging Technology, becoming a PIABC Accredited Packaging Professional (APkgPrf) soon after. Emily is a Professional Member of IOM3 (MIMMM) and has recently joined the Committee of the Midlands Packaging Society.
Initially working in an Operations based Packaging Technologist role, this led to a move into the Research, Development and Engineering Department as a Global Packaging Engineer, where she runs key development and innovation projects. Interests in material attributes and component functions have continued throughout her career however, she is now developing the mentoring aspects relating to an aspiration to share knowledge in the packaging community.
Emily has the somewhat unusual hobby of being involved in Steam Engines, enjoying both aspects of the engineering and restoration required to maintain the machinery (particularly painting/ signwriting) as well as taking them out on the road to events and Steam Rallies.
