Packaging Training Manager
Bio :
Ian has worked in the packaging industry for over 40 years, including companies such as DS Smith where he gained the IOP’s Diploma in Packaging Technology, Boots Contract Manufacturing and Peter Black Healthcare.
Ian is a fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and holds professional registrations as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Chartered Scientist (CSci) and an Accredited Packaging Professional (APkgPrf).
He taught packaging at Further Education Colleges and was the Training Manager at the IOM3 Training Academy for over 10 years. He continues to lecture, train and mentor students in packaging.
Ian has been involved with the Packaging Society at local and national levels and currently serves as secretary and treasurer for the Midlands Packaging Society.
In his spare time he travels around the world and volunteers at many sport related events such as the Special Olympics, World Transplant Games and Cerebral Palsy Sport.
