Dr. Nikki Clark

Dr. Nikki Clark is a distinguished lecturer in Design at Loughborough University’s School of Design and Creative Arts (SDCA). SDCA is renowned for being the top-ranking UK institution in Design and Crafts and 2nd in Art and Design. Nikki’s notable research includes being a Co-Investigator on the groundbreaking Perpetual Plastic for Food to Go project. With expertise and influence, Nikki shapes the academic and research landscape at the university.

Before her career in Academia, Nikki had a successful ten year career in the Packaging Industry managing Design and Marketing teams for Graphic Packaging International (formerly Benson Group) and Klockner Pentaplast (formerly Linpac). She has experience of designing carton and plastic packaging for food, beverage, beauty, and healthcare sectors.

Throughout her professional career Nikki has strived to encourage the next generation of packaging professionals through supporting the Starpack competition, arranging packaging placements, and engaging in outreach activities.

Away from work, Nikki enjoys combining her love of the outdoors with her creative flair, producing artworks that represent the beauty of the natural environment.
